Crochet Projects

Hi Everyone.  Nine months ago, I was inspired to pick up my needles and crochet again.  The internet has hundreds of free patterns on how to make hats, and other fun projects.  My first hat project, I found it was not easy to read and understand patterns instructions.  Fortunately for me, a class was being offered at the Willamalane Park and Recreation District.

I signed up for a crochet class for beginners/intermediate skill level and met a lot of wonderful people.  I had a fabulous time with the instructors and enjoyed helping my fellow classmates.  The best part about the class was exchanging fun patterns and sharing our completed project.

See some of my completed crochet projects below:

The orange hat above, I found a small Harley Davidson belt buckle at a thrift shop and added it to my hat.  Cool!!!  The green hat is for the upcoming 2012 Oregon Duck Football games and the red hat, Well,  I found a big red button at an antique shop and had to make a hat for it.  I made a Pink, charcoal grey and blue hats for my mother and sisters for Mothers Day gifts.  I enjoyed making this hat pattern so much that my granddaughter Nique called me the "Mad Hatter"

These bunnies were made from patterns shared by my Instructors.  I just love it.  They are called Linguine Bunnybuns from Outerspace.

The cats below were made following a pattern in a book called Ameniko.  A Japanese author of this book created a crochet pattern instruction that I liked.  I liked the format so much that I re-created my favorite patterns to a table format.
